Just got a call from Delta. We booked one way tickets to North Africa. Turns out my infant needs to buy a round trip ticket. What? Sorry Norah, I guess you have to go home.

We've traveled many times with infant on lap (my older son is now 4 and my younger son will soon turn 2). Each time it is a nightmare. It always takes at least 30 minutes for the agent to print the infant ticket during checking. It seems as if they have to figure out the whole procedure each time! The agent has to be on the phone the whole time talking to the main office. It's hard for us as our kids are active boys and they are running around everywhere and we're holding the line. The trip is only starting and we're already exhausted.
Obviously we're not the only ones traveling with infants and I don't understand how difficult it would be to streamline this process a bit.

When i gave my CC after being on hold she informed me that i will be charged now for everything, which was gr8 for me (as proof i paid already for infant). After 4 hrs i called cause i didnt rcv email conf. They sent me email and there was nothing abt infant &tickets were e-ticket. My CC was charged only for adlts.I call them agian , they told me there i have to pay during check, how much the person didnt know ... usually 10%. I asked abt any conf for this...nothing. I sked to speak w/manager. The man told me why i'm disrespecting him (???) What i said or how that it appear to be disrespecting?? Ihave been disconected. Called next day spoke to 3 other ppl. & got 3 diff infos. On the end i have been transfered somewhere and the man spoke english well and he did the separate reservation for our baby which cost us $150.Thanks GOD ...when we checked online it was a ticket for $150 o our bby name but..totally different fligh , direction & one way.How to not get stupid?
WHAT! Okay, I just purchased a ticket with Delta to fly with my wife and newborn son in June from Germany to AZ. They told me the same and quoted me 64 USD for the infant in lap ticket. I had the agent leave a note on my ticket that that is the quoted price. I just called again to confirm that it is 64 USD in TOTAL (including taxes and fees) and a separate agent said yes, I did only have to pay 64 USD at the ticket counter (since they need to print a paper ticket for my wife). So what the heck is going on? Are both the agents misinformed or what? I will be PISSED if after calling twice, and being told twice 64 USD is the full cost and then be told that it is not the correct price at the counter! Suggestions anyone?
