Booked flights for 4 from Pittsburgh to Pensacola.  I always take advantage of online services to eliminate all that crap at the airport.  I was able to make seat assignments for the 2nd leg of the trip from Atlanta to Pensacola, but not for the 1st leg from Pittsburgh.  A Delta agent told me I would be able to do that online when I check in 24 hours before.  Fine.  Except I can’t.  Have to wait until I get to the airport, stand in line at the counter, and take my chances of getting seats for 4 people.  We prefer the exit row which I’m told are already taken – so I guess someone CAN make seat assignments – just not me.  I can  see what’s going to happen – we’ll get to the airport and stand around waiting for Delta to stop farting around trying to figure out what to do with all the overbooks, and get stressed out about making our connection in Atlanta.  Wonderful way to start a vacation.  I hate Delta.  Unfortunately, this was our only option when we booked.  Every other airline has always allowed me to make seat assignments for all flights at the time of booking online.  DELTA SUCKS and sadly they’re taking Northwest with them.  Used to like NWA but Delta’s ruining it.
