We will NEVER fly Delta again!!!! In the past 3 months, we have flown with Delta six times and on each and EVERY occasion, our flights were “delayed.” As a result, we missed connections, appointments, and opportunities to spend time with family members. On one occasion when I was flying from Pittsburgh to New York, I paid to check a bag. I arrived in New York 2 hours late; my bag was left in Pittsburgh!!!!!! I eventually received it-28 hours later and just a few short hours before I was set to leave New York. No apology. I suppose I was expected to be grateful it arrived at all.
It’s habitual and inexcusable. If other carriers can keep to a schedule, why can’t Delta?!?!!? Moreover, Delta does not accurately report how absurd their performance is.
It’s exceptionally annoying when, in response to inquiries by customers as to reasons for the delays, Delta employees respond with, “I think it’s more important to arrive safely, don’t you?”
Really?!?!!?!? Of course we want to arrive safely!!!!! When you buy a ticket, you expect: 1. to arrive, 2. on time, 3. safely, right?!!?!?!?
When a carrier indicates a departure time, customers make plans based on that time. After all, if WE arrive a little late for our flight, Delta is all too happy to shut us out of our flight…even though it’s still sitting on the runway … for another 2 hours. Since they routinely overbook, it works for them.
But what about US?!?!?!!?!? Other airlines seems to understand the fact that people make plans and need to make connecting flights, but Delta doesn’t care. They don’t even apologize for losing luggage or ruining your plans. You’re just supposed to say, “thanks for getting me to my destination safely,” and get off the plane so they can disappoint another group of people.
I WILL GO OUT OF MY WAY TO AVOID ANY DELTA FLIGHTS; I REFUSE TO SUBJECT MYSELF TO ITS CAVALIER ATTITUDE and INCOMPETENCE.

So…. you seem like one of those people that doesnt care that it’s storming and could possibly put the other 150 or so people that are on that plane in danger as long as YOU get where you need to be. Selfish. If the airline feels that isn’t safe to take off due to weather (which is beyond their control) or a mechanical issue, guess what? Most of the people, like me, that are flying would much rather wait it out than risk dying because you are impatient.

“another sigh” is probably a douche bag Delta employee trolling this site. Bite me…

Oh yeah, “another sigh” is a Delta troll. Weather is the excuse they’re trained to use for delays. It takes the blame off of where it should be and places it where the customer has no recourse. Ridiculous.
