Responding to "Get Real Responder".

You said "If it’s a DELTA American Express, that means DELTA owns and gets paid for part of that credit."

Delta owns and gets paid for what exactly? If the points are not transfered by American Express, Delta doesn't get paid squat for them.

"Get Real" is correct. It's up to American Express to credit the points to Delta. Just like if you get a Hilton Honors card and have your points credited to your airline. It's not Delta's fault if it doesn't get done.

"Get Real" is simply telling the person who posted that they should have contacted American Express to get the points situation fixed, not Delta. American Express offers the card, offers the points, and accepts the application. Delta has no way of knowing what you are owed by American Express and cannot be blamed for not "taking your word for it" that you were owed these points.

Yes, unfortunately this site is prone to trolls. We do our best to weed them out because they often are abusive and offer no real legitimate counterpoints to posts.

Normally I wouldn't feed the trolls, but the responder to the post must be a moron who needs educating. If it's a DELTA American Express, that means DELTA owns and gets paid for part of that credit. Hence why they sponsor that particular card...therefore it does coorelate that DELTA could have and should have handeled the situation better. The reality they live in is within the United States of America...it's ok my friend...go crawl back under your rock now.

So you are blaming Delta for what failure? The airline that you booked on canceled, not Delta! The credit card company...American Express, didn't credit you the 25,000 miles so you could upgrade, and that is somehow Delta's fault...American Express is a completely different company....DUH! What reality do you live in?
